HELLO THERE / I’M ALESSANDRA
Hey, I’m Alessandra.
I’m an award-winning Design Director, Motion Director, and creative technologist with 15+ years of experience building things that move, react, tell stories, and occasionally make people ask, “Wait—how did you do that?”
My work lives somewhere between design, technology, motion, and physical experience. I’ve directed animation and VFX, built interactive installations, developed real-time experiences in Unreal Engine, experimented with emerging technology, and led creative teams from early concept and prototyping all the way through final production.
Along the way, I’ve worked with Facebook, Instagram, Oculus, Facebook Gaming, MasterClass, BBC, PBS, ProPublica, SXSW, Sony, and others. At Facebook, I was the first animator within Facebook Video Productions, where I helped establish animation workflows, standards, and infrastructure that eventually grew into a dedicated motion team.
I like making things that haven’t been made yet.
That’s really the thread connecting everything I do. I’m happiest somewhere between “here’s a weird idea” and “holy shit, it works.” I prototype. I test. I build. I direct. I figure out what’s technically possible and then push the creative further.
That philosophy became XPRT Labs, the creative R&D studio I founded to explore the space between emerging technology and real-world human experiences. We create interactive installations, immersive environments, experiential activations, real-time content, and custom prototypes — taking ideas from concept to reality.
I still love getting my hands dirty. I collaborate independently with agencies, studios, brands, production companies, and interesting humans on select projects across motion direction, interactive design, creative technology, experiential, animation, and mixed-media production.
